The company was founded in 1865 by a fellow whose ancestors had emigrated to Switzerland during the Huguenot persecutions. He returned to France and married a Burgundian lady of property. Camille Giroud took up residence at its present address in the late 1890s.
Reduction. Otherwise there is very fine size, weight and punch to the tautly muscular flavors that possess excellent depth and length on the balanced finish that exhibits almost no rusticity. This would also make for a great upper level house red that can be aged, indeed it will need at least a few years first. Recommended.
