This wine is mostly Shiraz (95%) with just 5% Mourv?dre. It's inky-hued and the nose is equally dense in aromas of dark cherries, dark chocolate, coffee and a peppery, dried herb note. Silky, with plush fruit on the palate, the alcohol is just a touch on the hot side but it's tempered by savory, tight-grained tannins and an earthy core.
