Azienda Agricola Boscaini Carlo is located in the classic and historic region of Valpolicella, in a small valley particularly well-known for the cultivation of grapes for fine wine. The winery covers an area of 14 hectares over looking the famous village of St. Giorgio Ingannapoltron, known around the world for its marvelous ancient church, cloister, and archeological excavation. In the beginning, the late Carlo Boscaini (who lived to the venerable age of 102 drinking wine in modest quantity but high quality) produced wine with great passion from leased land. He succeeded in acquiring this winery in 1948, and then with his son Arturo Ernesto, worked with care and passion in the production of the grape and it s transformation into wine. These days, his young nephews Carlo and Mario continue this old and passionate pursuit.\n\nIn memory of and with gratitude to the grandfather, the winery still bears his name today. From 1990 to 1996 the company has carried out a large investment in land to update and modernize the vineyards and added new cultivation systems. From 1996 to today they have updated the cellars, improving the structure and the equipment. The vineyards are cultivated with INTEGRATED SYSTEMS (minimum use of chemical products). The pruning and harvesting are done by hand. In the cellars, they produce the wine from their vineyards in the traditional manner but with little modern equipment, and with a minimum of chemical additives.\n\nBoscaini Carlo winery produces about 45.000 bottles of Valpolicella , Valpolicella Superiore and Ripasso, Amarone della Valpolicella , and Recioto della Valpolicella . They also produce a white wine GARGANEGA and a ros? wine MOLINARA
