A project of Bodegas Godeval and Jorge Ordonez, Bodegas Avancia is located in the mountains next to El Barco de Valdeorras, in the province of Galicia in northwest Spain. The 35 year-old Godello vineyards are located on mountain slopes in terraces at 1,350-1,650 ft. The soil is composed of metamorphic slate and quartz. Strong Atlantic climatic influences support Godello and help give it natural acidity and structure.
