Such a light, joyous, gently perfumed wine, but with some flatness on the mid-palate. Bright cherries and herbs on the Beaujalais-like nose. A bit earthy and initially funky. Surprising grip to the tannin, and lots of acidity. Certainly a unique handling of Syrah, with alcohol barely over 11%, but the whole package, while interesting, seems a bit out of balance (with the structure calling for more concentration, and with a bit of an off-kilter note).
