Deep dark red with purple hues. The nose has real depth, almost brooding, dark plums and blackberry perfectly integrated with the more elegant characters of black pepper and aniseed, a hint of spicy oak sitting in the background. This wine reflects the vintage it is full bodied with mouth filling plum and mulberry fruit yet the palate is beautifully structured with layers of fine tannin and complimentary characters of liquorice ironstone and cacoa. A wonderful vintage that could be very special in time.
