      Ripasso is created when un-raisinated Valpolicella wine is rested in last year's Amarone barrels. This enobles the Valpolicella by extracting some of the elegance and power from the remaining Amarone lees. The wines are not ageworthy like Amarone, but they drink beautifully and represent a great bargain. That's what happened here!
