      A decade ago, brothers Alain and Jean-Louis Chavy split their family estate (Domaine G?rard Chavy) down the middle, with each brother receiving 6.5 hectares of prime Puligny-Montrachet vineyard. Alain has proved himself a very talented winemaker, producing elegant and very stylish Puligny-Montrachets in a cellar beneath his property in the centre of the village of Puligny.

      Wines from Puligny-Montrachet are typified by aromas and flavors of green apple and lemon and tend to be tauter and firmer on the palate compared to wines from neighboring villages. Aging in a small percentage of new French oak barrels lends accents of toast and vanilla.
