Medium ruby-purple colored, the newly bottled 2017 Pinot Noir Sangiacomo Vineyard Roberts Road gives up scents of baked raspberries, kirsch and warm red plums with hints of cinnamon stick, black pepper and fried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is bursting with juicy red berry preserves, framed by soft tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on a spicy note.
Aromatically, crushed ripe raspberry and dark cherry dominate. Red fruit, vanilla and spice flavors gain momentum on the palate, lifted by juicy acidity and supported by supple tannins. The broad, creamy mouthfeel lingers, echoing the core flavors.
