Founder John Dewar crafted high quality blended Whiskeys, passing this skill to his son John Alexander, who double-aged his blends in the Company cellars. John Dewar was one of the first Scotsmen to blend Whiskey, and was the first to blend it right. So much so he put his name on the bottle as a mark of quality.
This Whiskey is honeyed, with a drizzle of honey, homemade toffee apples and crumbly fudge - warm, buttery and mellow. It is fruity, with notes of juicy sultanas and fresh citrus with a wisp of vanilla - clean, full and lively. Finally, it is rich, with melted caramel and folded in slowly with a trace of oak.
