A deep carmine red colour with a purplish hue. The nose offers an interesting combination of potency and elegance with predominantly intense aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and figs. Sweet spices including nutmeg intermingle with the potent aroma of dark chocolate in the background resulting in unique character and attitude. Aromas of cake and pastry fuse with light toasted notes that come from aging in French oak barrels. On the palate, it is very well structured and offers incredibly round tannins that lend volume, breadth, and a soft, sweet sensation. Very well-balanced acidity toward the mid-palate delivers an elegant, lingering finish.
