As of 2013, we are proud to source from two highly-acclaimed AVAs in the region: High Valley and Red Hill. Situated above the northeast shores of Clear Lake in Lake County, High Valley is appropriately named. It is defined by steep mountain ridges rising up to 3000 feet directly from the valley floor at 1700 feet. The terroir produces mountain fruit with great color and structure. Meanwhile, Red Hill is mostly known for its iron-rich red soils, which produce grapes of greater complexity. In many areas, the soils are laced with Obsidian rocks of varying sizes that aid in drainage.
